Apple pull apart bread
This apple pull apart bread is comfort food in a bite! Pillowy soft balls of bread are coated in an apple butter, cinnamon mix and baked to perfection.
- 3 ½ Cups flour
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 2 Tsps instant dry yeast
- ¾ Cup milk warm
- ¼ Cup butter melted
- 1 Egg
- For the filling:
- ¼ Cup apple butter
- ¾ Cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- For the glaze:
- ½ Cup confectioners sugar
- 3 Tbsp heavy cream
In a bowl combine the flour with the sugar, dry yeast, and salt. Add the egg, melted butter and milk and stir to combine. Knead for around 2 minutes and cover. Let it rise for around 40 minutes.
In a separate bowl combine the apple butter with the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
Divide the dough into 30 equal pieces and shape into a ball. Coat with the apple butter mix and transfer to the prepared pan. Repeat the process with the rest of the dough.
Take to the oven and bake for 45 to 60 minutes or until done. Remove from the oven and let it cool down before glazing.
Prepare the glaze: In a bowl whisk together confectioners sugar with heavy cream. Drizzle over the cooled down pull apart loaf.
