Can you freeze apple cinnamon bread?
The apple pecan bread will keep well in the freezer for up to 3 months, wrapped tightly in plastic foil or stored in a zipper bag. You can either freeze the whole loaf or the leftovers (if there is ever such a thing!).
To defrost, thaw the loaf in the fridge overnight. In the morning, remove it from the plastic wrap and keep it at room temperature until completely defrosted. You can also reheat it whole or piece by piece in the microwave or bake the whole loaf again in the oven to reheat and give it that fresh flavor.

What do you need to make apple cinnamon bread?
Don’t be intimidated by the long ingredients list! They’re simple ingredients you most likely have in your pantry already.
Apples
many prefer using Granny Smith apples, but actually most apple varieties will work well. It depends on your taste. Granny Smith apples are sweet ant tarty at the same time and keep well during baking. The thing is choosing apples that are firm to the touch. Stay away from apples that are obviously bruised, soft or discolored.
For an added tart flavor, try replacing half the apples for cranberries.
Nuts
Although my recipe uses pecan nuts, you can also add other nuts you like or replace the pecans completely. Walnuts also taste amazing in baked apple desserts and you should also try using.
Spices
Spices like cinnamon and nutmeg are amazing and go great with apples and roasted pecans. They add a lot of flavor to the apple pecan bread, but sometimes they can get a bit overwhelming. You can add more or less depending on your taste, or just take out those you don’t like. For this recipe I opted for cinnamon and left nutmeg for another time.
Flour
All purpose flour has been used in my recipe but for a flour and diary-free variation, you can use almond milk and oat flour. The recipe will be just as delicious, just lighter.
Toppings
I added crumbs to my recipe and found that is more than enough for our taste. For extra flavor you can drizzle some vanilla glaze. A great addition to make this apple pecan bread even more delicious is adding some caramel topping. Apples and caramel go great together and this will make the bread more festive for the holidays.
