How to make apple pull apart bread
If you’ve never made any bread from scratch you are probably a bit worried thinking this must be hard, or difficult. It’s not. This is the easiest bread recipe to get started into bread baking.
Ingredients you need
For the bread you’re gonna need flour, sugar, salt, yeast, milk, butter and egg. The filling requires apple butter, brown sugar and cinnamon while the glaze needs confectioners sugar and heavy cream.
Directions:
- Combine the flour with the sugar, dry yeast, and salt. Add the egg, melted butter and milk and stir to combine. Knead for around 2 minutes and cover. Let it rise for around 40 minutes.
- Combine the apple butter with the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
- Divide the dough into 30 equal pieces and shape into a ball. Coat with the apple butter mix and transfer to the prepared pan. Repeat the process with the rest of the dough.
- Take to the oven and bake for 45 to 60 minutes or until done. Remove from the oven and let it cool down before glazing.
- Prepare the glaze: In a bowl whisk together confectioners sugar with heavy cream. Drizzle over the cooled down pull apart loaf.
How to make the glaze
Not a necessary ingredient but the glaze makes this dessert even more indulging! I like to make it by combining confectioners’ sugar with heavy cream until I get the desired consistency. The end result is this thick glaze that holds its shape and looks stunning over those little nuggets of apple cinnamon bread.
