Strawberry Fudge: Quick Tips and FAQ
How to make strawberry fudge easy?
In this strawberry chocolate fudge recipe, there is no need for an oven or fancy kitchen gadgets. Microwave your white chocolates making sure to stir occasionally. Add in strawberry frosting, cookies, and sprinkles, add it to the baking pan, and into the oven goes. Are you thinking, “that sounds too good to be true?” Well, believe it, my friends: it truly is that simple! To make the process even smoother, prep all your ingredients beforehand and organize them accordingly to dive right in and get your fudge baking in no time.
Why do I need to stir the chocolate while microwaving?
By stopping the microwave to stir your chocolate, you avoid burning or overcooking. If you prefer to keep a steady eye on the process, you can also melt your chocolate on a double boiler on the stove. This requires more tools and adds clean-up time but is a perfectly acceptable alternative to the microwave method.
How do I keep my fudge from sticking to the pan?
Desserts not coming out of the pan is a moment every baker dreads. To avoid this awful scenario, line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Doing so will create a protective layer between the pan and the fudge, making sure there are no bumps along the path to deliciousness.
How long does strawberry fudge last?
Once your fudge comes out of the oven, let it cool completely before serving or storing. Cover it with plastic or place it in an airtight container to keep it from drying out. If you store your strawberry fudge in the fridge, it can last up to six weeks. On the countertop or in the pantry, your fudge will last around four weeks.
Some fudge experts share that fudge can be stored for over a year if stored properly. Multiply this batch, and you could have a year’s supply of fudge!
Can I freeze strawberry fudge?
Absolutely! Just make sure you wrap your fudge with care and work to remove any air gaps. When you’re ready to serve, let it thaw at room temperature or in the fridge while still in its original storage container or wrapping.
Can I give this strawberry fudge as a gift?
Of course, you can! What better timing as the holidays soon approach us? Due to the long shelf life, fudge makes a great gift that can be doled out in batches.
